Right? Who couldn’t love a thinly veiled calypso song about the singers giant cock? Shit gets weird in this song and then gets weirder. Plus it has a good beat.

Loius Prima – Buona Sera
„In the meantime let me tell you that I love you.“ How can you screw with a chorus like that? This song is one of the most solid argument anyone who thinks that using click tracks in the studio are lame can make. The band is deadly swinging and I like how you can almost here louis smiling while he sings. I mean, that’s on almost all of his songs but this is such a standout track for me, even though it’s a bit cliche.

Geto Boys – Damn it feels good to be a gangster
If you put this song on loop on your itunes and get on a scooter in thailand and drink the four beers you can fit into the little storage spaces under the handle bars while you blast around an island shirtless until you finish them and stop to have a piss you can listen to this song around 12 times if you’re drinking fast. Plus the drum loop picks up right where it leaves off in the end to the beginning so you’re never lonely. It’s seamless. I know this happens with a bunch of other songs but this is the one baby. Cause really, when the fry dies down, what the fuck ARE you gonna do?

Bruce Springsteen – Hungry Heart
„I got a wife and kids in Baltimore jack, I went for a ride and I never went back.“ I’m not advocating abandoning your family, but that is one of the strongest starts to a song ever.

The Smiths – There is a light, and it never goes out
I dunno. This one gets me right back to driving around the suburbs of Boston at 16 years old in my Datsun B210 wearing eyeliner and thinking that life was pointless and horrible long before i grew up and realized i was right.
